Your Child Says What to Draw, and the Picture Appears
Creator Studio on Mudpuppy is a picture maker for kids. Your child taps a big button to choose what to make: a cartoon, an anime picture, a realistic picture, a storybook picture, or a picture of themselves. Then they press the microphone and say what they want. No reading or typing is needed. A picture of me turns on the computer's webcam or the phone's front camera right in the page, with a live preview and one big shutter button; if there is no camera, or a grown-up has not allowed it, your child can pick a photo instead.
While the picture is being drawn, a bouncing mascot and a progress bar show that something is happening, and Mudpuppy says so out loud. When it is done, the picture fills the top of the screen and Mudpuppy says ta-da. Your child can press Make it move to turn the picture into a short animated clip, Animate my paper drawing to point the camera at a drawing made on paper and make that move, make another, or try the same words in a different look. If something goes wrong, they hear one short spoken line and can try again.
What you control: the whole site is locked to safe-for-work content when it is built, and that cannot be switched off on this domain. The studio's technical settings, error details and advanced links are hidden behind a Grown-up controls button. Making pictures uses tokens on the account you signed in with, and everything your child makes is saved to My Library.

What you can do
- Big picture buttons to choose what to make: cartoon, anime, realistic, storybook, or a picture of me
- Your child speaks into the microphone instead of typing a prompt
- A picture of me uses the computer's or phone's camera in the page; then your child picks what to become, such as a superhero or an astronaut
- Once a picture exists: Make it move animates it, and Animate my paper drawing photographs a drawing made on paper and makes it move
- Spoken feedback while it draws, and a spoken line if something goes wrong
- Technical settings and error details stay behind a Grown-up controls button
How it works
- Type a prompt describing the image or clip you want, or upload a reference image.
- Pick a model from the image or video tab and check the cost preview.
- Generate, then download, share to the community gallery, or refine with background removal and lip-sync.
- Send an image on to the 3D Studio to turn it into a rigged model.
Frequently asked questions
Does my child need to read or type?
No. The first screen is a row of big picture buttons. Your child taps one, presses the microphone and says what they want. Mudpuppy speaks back while it works and when the picture is ready, and error messages are spoken as one short line.
Is the content safe for children?
The site ships only its family-appropriate tools and is locked to safe-for-work content when it is built. That setting cannot be switched off on this domain. It runs on the same backend as the sister sites but shows none of their grown-up surfaces.
What are Grown-up controls?
A button on the kid screens that opens the studio's full settings, its error banners and the advanced links. Children see only the big buttons, the microphone and the picture. You open Grown-up controls when you want to change models or read a technical error.
Can my child animate a drawing made on paper?
Yes. Once a picture has been made, the results screen offers Animate my paper drawing: the page turns on the camera (the back camera on a phone, the webcam on a computer), your child holds the drawing up and takes the picture, and the studio turns it into a short moving clip. The picture just made can be animated with the Make it move button beside it.
Where do the pictures go?
Finished pictures and clips are saved to My Library on the account you signed in with. From there you can look at them again, download them, or share favorites to the gallery.
Does it cost anything?
Making a picture or a clip uses tokens on the account you signed in with. Tokens are the single currency across the site and come with a free daily allowance. If the account runs out, your child hears a short spoken message and can try again later.
