Kid-friendly recipes your family can cook, checked against real sources

The Family Recipe Generator finds something your family can actually cook tonight. Ask for kid-friendly, allergy-safe, or whatever is in the fridge. The AI finds recipe ideas through live web search, then writes the full recipe and checks it against real sources before you see it. Nothing is made up.

On Mudpuppy a child can start it alone. A big microphone button lets them say what they want, or they can tap a picture such as cookies. The site adds kid-friendly and nothing spicy by default, reads the ideas out loud, and a Surprise Me button picks one and opens the full recipe. Parents get the full form behind Grown-up controls: ingredients on hand, dietary notes and cuisine.

Every recipe includes ingredients, steps, tips and nutrition per serving, plus a picture of the dish if you want one. Recipes can be shared on their own pages so a grandparent can cook the same thing. The site is locked safe-for-work at build time.

What you can do

How it works

  1. Your child presses the microphone and says what they want, or taps a picture.
  2. The site finds kid-friendly ideas and reads them out loud.
  3. Pick one, or press Surprise Me, and the full verified recipe opens.
  4. Cook it together. Share the recipe page with family if it was a hit.

Frequently asked questions

Are the recipes safe to trust?

Ideas come from live web search and the full recipe is verified against real sources by multiple AI models before you see it, so measurements and steps are grounded rather than invented.

Can my child use it without reading?

Yes. A microphone button takes a spoken request, picture chips cover common asks, the ideas are read aloud, and Surprise Me opens a full recipe with one tap.

How do I handle allergies?

Open Grown-up controls and add the allergy or dietary need in the notes. The ideas and the finished recipe follow it. Check the ingredient list yourself before cooking, as you would with any recipe.

What does a parent control?

The full request form, the account and its tokens, and the safe-for-work lock, which is always on for this site. Kid-friendly and nothing spicy are added to every child request by default.
