Card Arena: make your own cards, build a deck, battle the AI or a friend
The Card Arena is a card game your child can build from scratch. They describe a card and the AI draws it and gives it abilities and stats. Once they have a pile of cards, the Deck Builder turns them into a deck. Then they battle: against an AI commander, or against a friend or sibling through a shared battle link.
Every battle is narrated by AI. Your child says how they want to play a card, and the AI tells the story of what happens and decides the result. Games can be saved and picked up later, and a match history keeps track of wins and losses.
On Mudpuppy the Card Arena is locked safe-for-work at build time, like every other part of the site. There is no switch a child can flip. The Card Arena is still in alpha, so a parent may want to sit in on the first games. It is one of the steps on the Adventurer track, alongside interactive stories and companions.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Card Arena safe for children?
The whole site is locked safe-for-work at build time and cannot be switched off on this domain. The Card Arena is in alpha, so some parts may break, and a parent may want to join the first games.
Does my child need to read to play?
The Card Builder and battles work by describing things in words, so some reading and typing helps. Younger children can play with a parent or older sibling reading along.
Can two children play each other?
Yes. Play vs Player creates a battle link. One child shares it and the other opens it, and they play a real-time match with AI narration.
What does a parent control?
The account, the tokens the AI spends and the safe-for-work lock, which is always on for this site. Games are saved to the account so you can see what was played.
